Some fairly colloquial Spanish phrases related to money.

No me queda leche (literally I haven't any milk) is fairly colloquial. Perhaps a better translation would be from the 70's (this is a UK English website ;) 'I haven't any bread'.

Estoy en números rojos (I am in red numbers) is more familiar to English speakers as I am in the red.

Un duro was a five peseta coin.

I have run out of money No me queda leche
How much money do you have left?¿Cuánto dinero le queda?
I have not got a penny No tengo ni un duro
It is a waste of money Es un desperdicio de dinero
I'm overdrawn Estoy en números rojos
My account is in the red Mi cuenta está en números rojos
I owe money debo dinero
I have debts tengo deudas
I have debts with the bank tengo deudas con el banco
